About
Hi, I’m Victoria!
The Birth Experience That Changed Everything
Before I ever supported another mother through birth, I was a mother learning firsthand how deeply birth can shape us.
My journey into birth work began with my own experiences of becoming a mother — experiences that opened my eyes to the importance of compassionate support, informed decision-making, and the way mothers are cared for during one of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.
My first pregnancy ended differently than I had imagined. At 31 weeks and 6 days, after developing severe preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome, I found myself facing an emergency cesarean and the unexpected arrival of my daughter.
And then, on top of everything else, I entered motherhood during the height of COVID.
That experience exposed me to a side of maternity care I never expected to encounter. During a time when I was scared, vulnerable, and preparing to meet my daughter far earlier than planned, my husband was not even allowed to be by my side. I remember feeling how quickly a mother can become a patient, a number, or a diagnosis — when what she truly needs is to be seen, heard, and cared for.
I will forever be grateful for the medical care that helped bring my daughter safely into my arms. But I also walked away knowing that mothers deserve more than simply being cared for physically.
They deserve to feel respected.
They deserve to feel informed.
They deserve to feel supported.
That realization stayed with me.
Finding Healing Through My VBAC
When I became pregnant with my second baby, I knew I wanted a different experience.
After my first birth, I spent so much time learning about physiologic birth, evidence-based care, midwifery care vs. modern obstetric care, and what it looked like to enter birth feeling informed and prepared. I knew what I wanted, and I was determined to pursue the birth experience I had dreamed of.
But I also knew I did not want to do it alone, and that my chances at the birth of my dreams would be higher if I hired a doula.
That is when I found Anna, the best doula ever if you ask me ;)
Her steady presence, encouragement, and belief in me became such an important part of my journey. She supported not only me, but my husband as well. She helped us understand birth, navigate the unknown, and step into the experience feeling confident instead of afraid.
Through her support, I learned firsthand the incredible impact a doula can have.
My VBAC was a beautiful, empowering experience. I labored with confidence, trusted my body, and welcomed my son into the world with the support of my doula, my husband, and my mother by my side.
Did everything go perfectly? Absolutely not…I mean, my husband had to fire the OB in the middle of labor.
But because I felt supported, informed, and deeply cared for throughout the process, the experience redeemed what was lost in my first birth and restored trust in my body.
Why I Became a Doula…
Anna’s support during my birth was one of the biggest reasons I felt called to become a doula myself. I experienced what it meant to have someone stand beside you, remind you of your strength, and hold space for you when you needed it most.
I wanted to become that person for other mothers.
For 10 years, I worked as a veterinary technician. I learned how to combine knowledge with compassion, how to stay calm during emergencies, and how to support families through some of their most vulnerable moments.
I didn’t realize then how much that experience would prepare me for birth work.
Birth requires both: the ability to recognize when support is needed and the ability to protect the normal process whenever possible.
My Birth Philosophy
I believe birth is a physiological process — not a medical event by default.
The female body was designed with incredible wisdom, and when we create the right environment of safety, trust, patience, and support, birth can unfold beautifully.
But honoring physiology does not mean rejecting medical care.
I believe in informed consent. I believe in respectful collaboration. I believe interventions have a place when they are needed, and that families deserve to understand their options every step of the way.
A mother’s birth story is not defined by whether she had an epidural, a cesarean, a home birth, or an unmedicated labor.
It is defined by whether she felt respected, supported, and cared for.
My role as your doula is not to tell you what your birth should look like.
My role is to:
- help you understand your options
- prepare you and your partner for birth
- provide evidence-based information
- support your emotional and physical needs
- protect your birth space
- remind you of your strength when things feel overwhelming
Whether you are planning an unmedicated birth, preparing for a VBAC, navigating a high-risk pregnancy, or simply wanting someone in your corner — you deserve compassionate support every step of the way.
The Heart Behind 29:11
29:11 Doula Services is inspired by Jeremiah 29:11,
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord...
This verse holds a deeply personal meaning for me.
It reminds me that God knows the plans He has for every mother, not only in the way her birth unfolds, but in the way she enters motherhood and the purpose He places within her.
Aside from that, my journey into birth work was a leap of faith.
After 10 years in veterinary medicine, I stepped away from a stable and well-paying career to pursue something completely different. I was entering this calling while caring for a newborn and a five-year-old, and there were moments when the unknown felt overwhelming.
But I trusted that if God was calling me here, He would make a way. Because He writes the best stories.
Looking back, I can see how every chapter — my emergency cesarean, my VBAC, the support I received, my years caring for others, and the path that led me here — was preparing me for this work.
The stories we never would have chosen are often the ones God uses to shape our purpose.
And I believe every mother’s story is held with that same care.
